front door

our front door on the inside. the ribbons are holding up the stars that are on the outside.

the outside of our door. gianna and i made the stars out of Popsicle sticks. the we painted them with glue and of course we needed glitter!  since it is the holidays i had to put up my "be nice or leave" sign!  ;)

making christmas trees

i know there has to be a way to rotate but i have not figured it out yet!!  we are making christmas trees! first gianna painted some glue on the paper and stuck some strips that i cut from magazines, glitter, felt scraps and cotton balls.

 i love the art box!

after the glued dried i rounded off the bottom of the paper.

the final product!  the bases are plastic martini glasses turned upside down.  gianna is so proud of the trees and cant wait to show them of as the center pieces on our christmas eve table!

I use the foaming soap and I love it!!  It is a splurge that makes me happy, however, I dont think Gianna feels the same way when she uses 6 squirts when playing in the sink! Here is a link with directions on how to make your own soap!!!   Happy washing!!

Our gingerbread (felt) home

A few days ago I posted a link to make felt gingerbread homes.  Well this morning we made one!  I could not get her pattern to download so I went a totally different way!!  Here are the pics and how it turned out!

We used craft felt, hot glue gun, and fiber fill for this first part of creating the home!

I cut 4 pieces of red felt the bottom was squared off and the top was pointed.  The bottom of the home is a square.  I glued the bottom down first.

Then I glued up the sides

Then it is time to fill!!

I glued the points together

They did not fit all the way together (I can't cut straight no matter what I do!)

So I added snow to the top to cover up how the roof did not fit!

Then I gave Gianna a plate with glue on it.  She used a paint brush to put the decorations on her house!  I cut out a door and some trees for her but I also gave her some scraps and some cotton balls

The finished product!! Of course we added glitter!  A little sparkle never hurt anyone!!  ;)

Gianna decided her gingerbread house was really a house for her ELF!!  SO CUTE!!!!

This morning

Gianna is at school this morning; I am sure you can tell by how many posts I have done!  We are going to stop sending her to school, for various reason, so I am trying to get all my web surfing done today!  HAHA!!!  Here is the other way I am spending my time this morning!
