Shrinky Dinks

I got this idea from The Magic House!

Materials:

Recycled #6 Plastic (clear containers from salad bars, berry containers, etc)
Permanent markers
Hole punch
Scissors
Cookie sheet
Tin foil or parchment paper

How To:

First, save containers made from #6 plastic
Then, cut them into shapes (you can use pieces that are bumpy or have holes). Remember the plastic will shrink in the oven!

Next, decorate the plastic using permanent markers, punch a hole in the plastic using if you plan to use it as a charm, key chin, or necklace.

Finally, put the decorated plastic on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on the plastic! Watch the plastic as it curls up and then flattens out. This is a sign that the shrinky dink is complete!
