ST. LOUIS COUNTY

Details — 25 to 30 vendors featuring food and food-themed products from Missouri and Illinois. Emphasis on the homegrown, homemade and handcrafted. Tenth season, with a celebration on opening day. Planned activities for the rest of the season include a seed swap and corn-shucking contest.

Details — About 15 vendors selling local produce, honey and prepared vegan and vegetarian foods. Hands-on children's market sponsored by the St. Louis chapter of Slow Food.

Special events include chef demonstrations, food contests with cash prizes, Shetland Sheep shearing day and a tour of the oldest organic farm in Missouri.

Local and broker-supplied produce; butcher, sausage and seafood stands; baked goods; plants and flowers; a spice and specialty shop; and several flea-market-style fashion and apparel stands. Cooking demonstrations by Soulard's restaurant some Saturdays through October.

ST. CHARLES COUNTY

LINCOLN COUNTY

Details — 15 to 20 vendors weekly (more for special events), featuring local produce, live birds and small livestock, as well as crafts, firewood, hay and straw. Fall poultry festival Sept. 11 featuring heritage and ornamental breeds of poultry.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

When it's open — 7:30-11 a.m. or until sold out. Wednesdays, July 7-October; Saturdays, June 19-October (ending dates are undecided)

Details — About 12 vendors each Saturday; slightly fewer on Wednesdays. Local produce plus pork, honey, pies and cakes. Kickoff event with hot dogs and face-painting on July 7.
